We were also thrilled to be able to spend one more Halloween with our great friends (and former neighbours) Joan & George. This has been our Coquitlam tradition for years. It's nice to see some of the local kids each year as they grow up, and this year we had even more than usual to chat about after our extended holiday. | Lisa and I were very happy to return home to the Lower Mainland. It was especially nice to be back in time to be with June, Lisa's mom, on Lisa's birthday. This year Lisa enjoyed two cakes: one from our Walmart travels that featured 4 different types of chocolate cheesecake, and the chocolate marble mocha cake that June makes her each year. |
It was nice to have some time to go to lunch with Michelle & Olivia and finally introduce them to Lisa in person. We went to dinner with June and Auntie Janet and had lunch at John's (Lisa's dad). Our timing also coincided with Katrina's first week at pre-school; it was great to see her so excited about starting school, and hear her recount her first experiences there. We also played tag and did puzzles. Hopefully everyone will make an effort to come visit us on the island, too!
