All month we continued to walk around our community and to enjoy the changes Spring brings. We also explored Mill Bay. The co-main events of UFC 236 did not disappoint, as "Diamond" and "The Last Stylebender" became interim champs through absolute wars. As always, the games became more interesting when the playoffs began, and as usual, there were some early surprises. Yummy food is always on the menu. The hype surrounding the final season of "Game of Thrones" finally prompted me to check out the series... and I thoroughly enjoyed it! I watched all seven complete seasons in just ten days so that we can complete the series with the rest of the world. Mark knows the not-so-secret password to enter our home (even mid-marathon)… he came by with a growler of delicious red ale. The sunny Easter weekend, allowed me to do a lot of gardening. We played tennis in the middle of an Easter egg hunt on Easter Sunday. We once again hiked Cobble Hill; this time experiencing sunshine, rain, hail, and light snow... all in under an hour! Most of our movie watching this month was done prior to binge-watching "Game of Thrones". Despite all of the screen-time, I still managed to read another six books. The month was not without its challenges. Lisa suffered terribly with infected and clogged ears, as well as itchy eyes. In addition to her contract work, she bore the responsibility of deciphering complicated taxation laws and details before completing our tax returns. I finally consulted a physiotherapist regarding a severe rotator cuff injury and have been struggling through my rehabilitation. We once again experienced the frustration of having multiple contracted tradespeople cancel on jobs they had previously agreed to complete.
