The ferry from Bantayan Island left 45 minutes late and the crossing was quite choppy. Additionally, the bench we sat down on, broke the moment we leaned against the back of our seats. As we tumbled backward on the collapsing seat, my legs flung forward and my right foot kicked the metal bench in front of us. Thankfully I was wearing closed running shoes, so despite fearing at the time that I'd broken a toe, I believe it is just badly bruised and am hopeful for a quick recovery. |
