Our "Grand Tour & Kasbah Route" began by flying to Casablanca via Montreal. Between long flights, a layover, and the time zone difference, we basically lost a full day just getting there. We arrived on the morning of November 8th, but having had little sleep en route, we "napped" for much of the day before heading out for an early evening walk. We checked out the area and wandered around the souk, purchasing tiny tagines and speaking with some locals along the way. Casablanca is statistically the safest city in Morocco. We continued to explore Casablanca on foot. We walked through a variety of neighbourhoods. Of course we spent more time in the market, and of course Elahe found a woman's collective to purchase argan oil from while we were there. The following day, November 10th, the 'tour' officially began and the group was taken to the Hassan II Mosque that we'd already seen on our own, and then the Mohammed V Square before leaving the city. From Casablanca, our driver aimed the bus towards Rabat...
