Split Apple Rock Abel Tasman National Park: We took a water-taxi to Torrent Bay in order to hike a portion of the park's most scenic coastline. Anchorage Torrent Bay Freadman Bay Falls River Suspension Bridge Sandfly Bay South Head Medlands Beach Meddie's Beach Bark Bay After taking the water-taxi back, we drove north. Parapara Beach Farewell Spit Overlook at Puponga Point Farewell Spit Inner Beach Cape Farewell The northern most point of New Zealand's south island. Wharariki Beach It was incredibly windy here and we were sandblasted the entire time!
Maruia Falls Split Apple Rock Kaiteriteri Beach Little Kaiteriteri Beach We spent the night in a lovely studio in Motueka where we were literally greeted with open arms. Meeting Kal and Andy was like reuniting with long lost friends. They invited us to join them for cake and coffee despite their hectic schedule and we had an enjoyable, but all too brief, visit.

Akaroa The Giant's House Springfield (Homer's Donut) Little River We stayed on a rural property with a lovely couple who spoiled us with homemade goodness: they roast their own coffee beans and walnuts, bake their own bread and buns, brew their own delicious beer, served us homemade walnut torte, and steeped fresh lemon honey tea.
